In partnership with the Rocky Mount Area Chamber of Commerce, Teach For America brings you the annual "One Day" Event Series that unites community leaders, celebrates the brilliance of North Carolina students, and honors the lasting impact of Teach For America educators. This year's theme, Bright Futures, Bold Innovations, reflects our commitment to creating opportunities for students across the state while reimagining what's possible in education. Across the state, the series will bring together more than 700 leaders from the education, business, and civic sectors. Attendees will hear powerful stories of impact, engage with our mission to transform education and expand opportunities, and leave inspired with tangible ways to champion educational excellence in the Twin Counties and across eastern North Carolina. A highlight of the evening will be a panel discussion featuring North Carolina’s State Superintendent of Public Instruction Mo Green, 2025 Burroughs Wellcome Fund North Carolina Teacher of the Year and Teach For America Eastern North Carolina alumna Rachel Candaso (ENC ‘20), moderated by Teach For America North Carolina's Executive Director, Robyn Fehrman. Together, they will reflect on what's possible for North Carolina's education system and how bold leadership can drive lasting change.
