Rocky Mount Area Chamber of Commerce and NC Cooperative Extension Center of Nash County and Edgecombe County Present the 2025 Agriculture Forum

Rocky Mount, NC — The Rocky Mount Area Chamber of Commerce (RMACC), in partnership with the NC Cooperative Extension of Nash County and Edgecombe County, is excited to announce the 2025 Agriculture Forum on January 29, 2025, at Nash Community College, Brown Auditorium, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 Noon. This free, high-energy event will bring together farmers, industry experts, and community leaders for a day packed with interactive sessions and opportunities to support our local farming community.

We are thrilled to announce that Steve Troxler, Commissioner of the North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, will serve as the keynote speaker for the event. Known for his dedication to agriculture, Troxler will share innovative ideas and strategies that are shaping the future of agriculture. His insights are sure to inspire both seasoned farmers and those new to the industry, providing practical advice for success in today’s evolving agricultural landscape.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in breakout sessions focused on farmland preservation, field crops, and livestock.

In addition to these educational opportunities, the event will feature vendor booths showcasing local businesses, products, and services that are vital to the agricultural industry.

We are pleased to announce that Emily Wagner, host of On Carolina Soil on CBS17, will return as the event’s emcee. Emily’s expertise and passion for agriculture make her the perfect host to guide us through the day’s activities, ensuring the event remains engaging, informative, and enjoyable.

A full country breakfast will be provided free of charge, so come hungry!

While attendance is free, we encourage attendees to bring cash for the 50/50 raffle, a fun and engaging way to give back to the local farming community. All proceeds from the raffle will go towards supporting farmers in Western North Carolina.
