Vested Interest of NC, LLC is a community development company serving Eastern North Carolina. Founded by Maxine Evans-Armwood and Cynthia Jackson — two advocates with over 30 years of combined experience in human services, juvenile justice, and community development — we are built on a single belief: that the communities people live in should reflect the quality of life they deserve.

We develop profitable, mission-driven businesses that fill real gaps — creating safe gathering spaces, economic opportunity, and the connective tissue that makes neighborhoods feel like home again.
