Nash Community College Expands Access to Recruitment and Campus Tours

ROCKY MOUNT, North Carolina (September 4, 2026) – Nash Community College is making it easier for prospective students and families to explore their options, ask questions and take the next step toward college through expanded campus tours and weekly recruitment opportunities throughout the community.

Whether individuals want to experience NCC firsthand or connect with a college representative closer to home, the college is providing multiple opportunities each week to learn more about admissions, financial aid, academic programs and the enrollment process.

“Access begins long before a student ever enters a classroom,” said Dr. Wendy Cook, vice president of student services at NCC. “Sometimes the first step is simply having someone available to answer a question, help complete an application or show a prospective student around campus. By expanding these opportunities both on campus and throughout our community, we are making that first step easier to take.”

Experience Nash Community College

Prospective students, families and community members can now choose from several scheduled campus tour opportunities Monday through Thursday.

Tours are available Mondays at 3 p.m.; Tuesdays at 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.; Wednesdays at 11 a.m.; and Thursdays at 1 p.m.

During a campus visit, prospective students can become more familiar with NCC's campus and begin envisioning what their college experience could look like.

Individuals can register for a campus tour at events.nashcc.edu.

Meet Nash CC in Your Neighborhood

For individuals who may not be ready or able to visit campus, NCC also has recruitment services directly in your community.

NCC Recruitment Coordinator Cynthia Green is available weekly at several community locations to help prospective students with admissions applications, the FAFSA and general questions about getting started.

Community recruitment opportunities include:

• NCWorks Career Center: Every Monday from 9 a.m.-noon, 793 Country Club Road, Rocky Mount.
• Braswell Memorial Library: Wednesdays by appointment from 1-4 p.m., 727 N. Grace St., Rocky Mount.
• Harold D. Cooley Library: Thursdays by appointment from 10 a.m.-noon, 114 W. Church St., Nashville.

The expanded opportunities are part of NCC’s continued efforts to make the enrollment process more accessible and create additional points of connection for prospective students throughout the region.
